Travel Recency Bias

When discussing travel with others, I often am asked, "What's was your favorite destination?". Honestly, I never know how to answer this question. I am sure you, my fellow travelers have been asked this same question, so, how do you answer?
Personally, I usually end up saying, something like "not sure" and then proceed to describe where I traveled to most recently.
This is what I describe as travel recency bias. Now why is this important? For me, I wonder if over time, if some of the amazing travel memories I have been are being slowly pushed to the back of my mind. It is natural to remember something more recent, more clearly - I think but I don't want to lose appreciation for some of the great places I have been.
As a middle aged seasoned casual traveler this is something on my mind. I hope I'm not the only one, so what can we solve this. My wife always says - this is why you need to upload pictures and videos so you don't forget it, maybe good advice.
So, I have decided to go back in time, mentally, and pull out some dormant memories to share with you which is selfish in nature because I am constructing a type of historical record for myself but my goal is to share what I think may be useful to other middle-aged seasoned casual travelers.
